Everyone desires glowing, healthy skin and the key to that is hydration. The most obvious way to hydrate that comes to mind is by drinking fluids throughout the day, and by that I don’t mean pounding down Diet Cokes. Drinking adequate amounts of water is very important but you will also need to do more for your skin than just doing that. When we ingest water it goes to all our body systems but our skin may need some extra tender loving care. This comes in the form of skin care products.

There is a difference between hydrating and moisturizing products. Hydrating products help add water into the skin, whereas moisturizing products help hold the moisture in the skin, and keep it from evaporating.

Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite hydrating ingredients and it can be used on pretty much any skin type. Hyaluronic acid directly adds hydration into the skin when used and it binds 1000 times its weight in water! In my opinion it is one of the most powerful natural ingredients in the skincare industry.

Both of Soon’s Biocellulose Brightening facial mask and Micro-hole Hydrogel Hydrating facial mask contain the ingredient hyaluronic acid. I recently used the Micro-hole mask and I must say it was quite amazing. Not only did it leave my skin looking and feeling more hydrated, I feel like it had lasting effects on my skin for a few days after, which I was very pleased with.

Staying hydrated can help maintain the elasticity in your skin helping it to remain youthful in appearance. Hydrated skin will look healthier because it actually is healthier. Your skin is able to stretch better when it is hydrated which helps prevent wrinkles, under eye bags, flakiness, breakouts, and oily skin.

When you hydrate and moisturize your skin, it helps keep your sebaceous glands from overproducing too much sebum or oil. When our skin lacks hydration it overcompensates by producing more oil to try and hydrate itself, which in turn could cause more breakouts. So any skin concern that you might be dealing with at the moment can most definitely benefit from a hydrating and moisturizing product to be used on your skin daily.
