When to Splurge on Skincare

If I had to choose just three products to splurge on, they would include sunscreen, serums, and a good night cream. I’d recommend splurging on these products because these are the products that stay on your skin the longest amount of time and have the most potent ingredients. Find a good facial sunscreen that doubles as a morning moisturizer and you will have just killed two birds with one stone! Sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UV rays as well as keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized throughout the day. There are two sunscreen options: a sunscreen that either has a tint in it (like foundation) or a sunscreen that rubs in clear. Choose something that feels comfortable and light, because you should be using this product everyday (and I mean every day). I would also recommend choosing a physical sunscreen over a chemical sunscreen. Physical sunscreens tend to cost more, but are worth it because some chemical sunscreens have been shown to cause cancer. Physical sunscreens usually contain the ingredients titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, so look for these ingredients when you are trying to pick out a good one.

Serums are products that contain highly concentrated ingredients made of very small molecules that perform a specific task on the skin. Because the molecular size of serums are so small, they are able to penetrate into the skin deeper and quicker. Serums can be used in the morning, at night, or both! You can find a serum specific for any type of skin problem you might be dealing with, like acne, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation or dryness.

Sheet masks are soaked in highly concentrated serum that is then placed on the skin and quickly absorbed. Sheet masks can be a great way to quickly switch up what type of ingredients you put on your skin because there are different types of sheet masks with many different ingredients infused into them. Soon Skincare carries five different masks that cater to different skin types. Figure out which one suits you best or even order a few different ones to see which ones work best!Splurging on a good serum specific to your skin needs, and then a few sheet masks is always a good idea and will keep those annoying skin problems at bay. All of Soon’s ingredients are made for even those who have the most sensitive skin!

Last, but not least, night creams. They are all about the repair process taking place while your asleep, which means that the product you choose will be working its magic for a long period of time.

Another plus about splurging on certain products is that usually they will last longer because they are more concentrated. So just using a little will go a long way! Keep all these tips in mind next time you are trying to figure out which products to put your money towards.
