We know how it is, no matter what you do, it seems your skin can’t get enough hydration. If your skin is dull, tight, over wrinkled, reddened, or inflammed, then your skin is likely dehydrated. Here are tips for when your dehydrated skin is insatiable.
Drinking more water and consuming more water rich vegetables and fruits (like watermelon, celery, or cucumber) can help hydrate from the inside. Consuming some essential fatty acids from foods like fatty fish, flaxseeds, chia seeds, or walnuts is great for reducing inflammation and promote healthy cell membranes.
Since environmental factors contribute to your dehydration, consider introducing beneficial moisture to your environment with a humidifier.
Massaging your skin a few minutes nightly helps promote lymphatic drainage and circulation to promote natural healing. Bonus is it’s great for releasing tension. If you want to incorporate an oil, squalane works well with all skin types.
Dead skin cells can block absorption of moisture. Exfoliate once a week and apply a moisturizer after to allow your moisturizing products to absorb.
